Compact Reactor for Laboratory Decarboxylation

Precise process monitoring, recording of the process, and verification of recipes before scaling them up.

The Micro Rosin Reactor is a compact device designed for laboratory development, testing, and optimization of decarboxylation processes. Thanks to its benchtop design, touchscreen display, and support for IDM 3.2 software, it allows users to monitor the progress of individual runs and record key process parameters.

It is a suitable choice for research and development laboratories that need to validate formulations and obtain consistent data before transitioning to larger production systems.

Key Benefits

  • Compact desktop design —a practical solution for laboratory and R&D environments.
  • Continuous process monitoring – the touchscreen displays pressure, product temperature, and the number of venting cycles.
  • Process logging – the ability to verify recipes using the IDM 3.2 software on a computer.
  • Support for various types of containers —compatibility with select Mason canning jars, GLS80 laboratory bottles, and pressure-rated reactors.
  • Safety features —a mechanical pressure relief valve and electronic venting.
  • 24 V DC power supply – external power supply for connection to a standard electrical outlet.

Designed for the development and validation of recipes

The Micro Rosin Reactor allows you to work with different vessel volumes on a single tabletop platform. The integrated 12.7-cm touchscreen display is used to monitor the current progress of the process. Process control and data management are handled via the IDM 3.2 software on a computer.

The display shows the current pressure, product temperature, and number of venting cycles. During automatic operation, the controls are locked so that the display is used primarily for monitoring the process.

The unit is not equipped with a mixing system or any other form of agitation.

Compatible Containers

Container Type Maximum capacity Pressure Rating
Mason jar, approx. 473 ml approx. 296 ml Not intended for use under pressure
Mason jar, approx. 710 ml approx. 532 ml Not intended for use under pressure
GLS80 Laboratory Bottle, 1 L According to the manufacturer’s specifications Not intended for use under pressure
Pressure-rated reactor, 300 ml According to the manufacturer’s specifications 2.41 bar at 100 °C
Pressure-rated reactor, 500 ml According to the manufacturer’s specifications 2.41 bar at 100 °C

Mason jars and GLS80 laboratory bottles are not intended for use under pressure. When selecting a container, it is essential to consider its intended use, operating limits, and the equipment manufacturer’s instructions.

Note: The reactor’s safety features do not replace the requirement to use a suitable vessel with the appropriate pressure rating. Before use, verify that the specific vessel is compatible with the given equipment configuration.
